Single Board Computer

With the advent of the small profile ITX motherboards supplied complete with processors and all of the necessary hardware for a single networked slave display device, the need for the multi channel controllers has been reduced. An SBC controller at the back of a flat panel display only requires a network connection to become part of the display system. A number of options for display management are supplied, but the most convenient nowadays is the use of web pages via a kiosk style browser. This can then use linux on the SBC reducing the need for multiple windows licenses.

The SBC will handle images up to 1280 by 1024, and stores pictures and video clips locally reducing network traffic to simple messages telling the display to change when required, such as for displaying a ticket call page in a preset sequence of other information pages.
