Bitweaver

Bitweaver is a free and open source web application framework and content management system. Its speed and power are ideal for large-scale community websites and corporate applications, but it is simple enough for non-technical small site users to set up and administrate. It comes fully featured on install but is modular and easy to extend.

L.S.Caine Electronic Services are a core developer for the bitweaver project, and look after Firebird database integration, along with various packages providing tools for address information management. The current state of play is that I have now merged my own developments with the current live code base. This is augmented with the latest build of PHP 8.4.5 and a set of commits will follow to clean a few more warnings that result from deprecations in PHP. In addition, I'm using the latest ADOdb 5.22.8 and I have a few commits to add to that along with a few additions to Smarty 3.1.48 to make that compliant with PHP8.4. It's quite encouraging that everything seems to be working fine. It has taken a few days, but a lot of that is down to getting back up to speed, and finding my way around the current tools. Eclipse has access to all of the repositories and can hopefully handle my own commits back to them. In the past I've always managed this via TortoiseHg and Mercurial which I would prefer as a CVS framework, but with everything now on github it just makes sense to follow the lemmings?
